Smokers Outside Timboo's Bar. May 2014. Timboo's bar was one of the wonderful relics that had survived from the old New York. The geriatric smokers seemed to complement the archaic state of the bar. It closed shortly after I painted this and is now a generic sports bar, which seems to sum up the way New York is (over) developing. The painting is a personal piece and is part of an on going body of work that I intend to exhibit.

With humor being the primary brand experience for Nickelodeon, our challenge was to find a unique and innovative creative approach that could ultimately tell a funny visual story that could have repeatability on our air. Robin Davey is a designer and a storyteller who crafted a batch of ID concepts that help to support the humor inherent in our brand. Each of these logo IDs tells a unique and compelling story that ties in our Logo as a payoff after a short story is visually expressed through design and animation. Each concept is rich with humor while colorfully rich and stylistically unique to our brand.

Stanley Kubrick's Lolita. September 2014. Poster was created for Spoke Art’s Stanley Kubrick Art Show which took place in San Francisco in September 2014. There was no specific brief as each artist was free to choose one of the movies of the director and interpret it any way they wanted. I used the original movie poster created in 1962 as the inspiration. It included a girl with a lolipop that became a central element of the piece. I decided to go for the simple form to create double meaning. The piece was created as a hand pulled 4 colour screen print on 230gr Stardream Opal metallic paper and came in signed and numbered limited edition of 90.
